Diesel Mechanic

Currently looking for an enthusiastic, fully qualified diesel mechanic for join our team and assist our Maintenance Manager with the daily servicing & maintenance of our fleet of heavy earthmoving machinery & light vehicles. 

The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Scheduled servicing as well as minor & major repairs of light vehicles & on highway vehicles plus earthmoving machinery etc.
• Diagnosis and repair of mechanical defects
• Completing accurate records of repairs and servicing
• Willing to develop new skills
• Request required spare parts
• Assist in specialist equipment builds

To be successful in this role you must possess the following skills, attributes, and qualifications:

• Trade qualifications essential
• Experience with heavy vehicles preferred
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
• Ability to document, record and track servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to OH&S/WHS policies, procedures, and regulations
• Trade experience in similar role within the heavy industry or civil sector
• HR licence preferred but not essential
• Reliable and honest
• Great work ethic
• Physically fit, with flexibility to work from any of our yards or onsite if required
